“The leader does not just get the message across…..the leader is the message.” – Charles Handy

Transformative Change

We believe the key to the success of any business is the strength of its leaders; as leadership becomes more demanding, there is an urgent need to prioritise the development of those in leadership positions to unlock potential and drive business performance. Executive Coaching provides leaders with the support and structure they need to rise to current challenges, to expand their leadership capabilities and to achieve transformative change in the way they think, act and connect with others.

At Develop People, our coaches are highly trained and professionally accredited; they are able to tailor their approach to each leader’s needs and business context. We work with all levels of leaders, be they C-Suite, senior managers, middle managers or new and aspiring managers. We partner with the leader to create a thought-provoking process that helps raise self-awareness, shift perspective, reclaim power and translate that learning into actions. An Executive Coach is independent of the work environment, so is well placed to co-create a safe non-judgemental space to challenge the way leaders think and view the world.

Develop People can also provide Team Coaching which can be beneficial for developing high performance teams, defining a new strategy or for addressing team issues.

Our Approach to Executive Coaching

Chemistry

To ensure the coaching partnership is a good match, we provide free chemistry meetings.

Flexibility

The coaching sessions can be held virtually, by telephone, face to face or a blend.

Contracting

A coaching contract is agreed between the leader (client), the line manager (or sponsor) and the coach, which outlines the coaching goals, measures of success and logistics.

Exploring

The leader has the space to think, explore and reflect on where they are now, what is getting in the way and what changes they need to make to achieve their goals.

Challenging

With a unique blend of support, challenge and stretch, the coach helps the leader learn for themselves through listening, questioning, observation and where appropriate, the coach may offer relevant models, psychometrics or a 360 feedback tool to help facilitate the learning.

Reviews

Regular reviews ensure the coaching is on track to achieve the desired goals. As session content is confidential, the leader is responsible for providing feedback on coaching outcomes.

Research by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) found that 80% of people who receive coaching report increased self-confidence, over 70% benefit from improved work performance and 86% of companies report that they recouped their investment on coaching and more.
